UPSC Optional Subjects
Keep Optional preparation focused on the subject you actually study.
Optional subjects need subject-specific taxonomy, Paper I and Paper II filters, and controlled access. Selecting a preferred Optional helps personalise the workspace; paid entitlement unlocks the complete subject library.
Why Optional PYQs need their own module
Optional papers can contain thinkers, theories, maps, diagrams, numerical work or subject-specific terminology that should not be flattened into General Studies filters.
PYQPath uses a common platform architecture while preserving each subject’s paper and topic structure.
Access remains controlled
- A profile preference does not grant paid access.
- Students unlock only the Optional included in their plan.
- Bundles can combine GS, Essay and one Optional.
- Admin can create new optional plans without code changes.
