Write Better Conclusions
Answer the judgement implicit in the question and show the way forward without becoming generic.
Apply the method
- Return to the directive.
- State the overall inference or degree.
- Resolve the tension shown in the body.
- Add a practical way forward only when relevant.
- Keep it short and confident.
Self-check
- Does the conclusion answer the question?
- Is it more than ‘therefore, all stakeholders must work together’?
- Have I avoided a new argument?
