Evaluation requires a judgement. Decide the criteria, weigh the evidence for and against, and state the extent of success, significance or effectiveness.

- Use extent words such as limited, substantial, uneven or conditional

- Giving a conclusion without criteria
- Equating evaluation with criticism
- Counting points instead of weighing them
