PYQPath

Content Source and Verification Policy

PYQPath aims to maintain one canonical question record supported by source references, structured metadata and a review history.

Source priority

  • Official examination question paper where available.
  • Official archive or scan.
  • Multiple matching secondary compilations.
  • A single secondary compilation held under review until stronger verification is available.

Import workflow

  • Upload source document and structured data.
  • Validate required fields and normalise searchable text.
  • Detect exact and near duplicates.
  • Import to staging or draft.
  • Review wording, metadata and taxonomy.
  • Publish only after the authorised action.

Canonical questions and multiple sources

  • Multiple PDFs containing the same question should not create multiple live question records. Additional documents can be attached as source evidence to the canonical question.
  • Metadata conflicts are held for review rather than silently overwritten.

Classification

  • One primary subject or topic supports reporting, while related topics and tags preserve cross-cutting meaning.
  • Essay themes and Optional taxonomies may involve editorial judgement and remain reviewable.
